7 GREAT STEPS TO DIVINE GUIDANCE

“Thus saith the Lord, thy Redeemer, the Holy one of Isreal, I am the Lord thy God which teacheth thee to profit, which leadeth thee by the way that thou shouldest go” Isaiah 48:17

This year is a great and glorious year for you. It is a year which God has ordained to make you and I experience and enjoy His awesome blessings.

In the very heart of the Almighty father, NEW THINGS in their diversities are what God has programmed for all His children which you are one of us.

According to the prophetic declaration for this wonderful year, in our great ministry, 2009 is the beginning of NEW THINGS (Isaiah 43:18-19).

From time immemorial, God has always being in the business of doing new things for His people, He is always taking them from one glorious height to yet another wonderful height, from one level to another level, from one blessing to yet another great blessing (Proverbs 4:18).

Every new year always come with NEW THINGS , with God there is nothing like better last year because He is a God that bring NEW THINGS (Favour, honour, fruitfulness, promotion, plenty etc) into the lives of His people.

However to access the blessing of NEW THINGS , the subject of divine guidance must be well embraced and followed.

God has NEW THINGS to bring your ways in 2009 but you must be reedy to follow His guidance and direction so you can see greatness this year and end with colourful distinction!

WHAT IS DIVINE GUIDANCE?

Divine guidance is God showing you the way to go and the path to follow in life. Divine guidance is God directing your steps, leading and guiding you on every issue of life.

Divine guidance is God determining, directing and deciding for you things you must do so new things can come your ways.

Divine guidance is God instructing you on what to do, how to do it, where to do it, with whom to do it, when to do it and why you must do it.

Psalms 23:1 says “The Lord is my shepherd and I shall not want”

When it is the Lord leading you, you can never be in want of any good thing in life. Everything you desire will always come true when it is the Lord that is leading you.

Hear this: God does not force nor compel anybody to follow His leading, directives or guidance but anyone who sheepishly follow His guidance or leadings end up in divine greatness and such will also emerge as a great leader with unparalleled distinction.

This then lead us to what I call 7 great steps to divine guidance. When these steps are taken and followed consistently, God will always lead you to encounter NEW THINGS that will establish your destiny.

WHAT ARE THESE 7 GREAT STEPS?

1. You must be His Sheep: John 10:27 God will always guide and lead His sheep in all things. His sheep are those who are genuinely born again, those who have surrendered their heart to Him.

2. You must be willing to follow God's guidance & directives: Isaiah 1:9 The reason why many people suffer untold frustration and perpetual stagnation in life is because they are not willing to follow God's guidance. God will never force you to follow Him but if you are willing to follow Him, He will make you in life. Matt.4:19.

3 . You must be Obedient to follow His instructions and dictates. Genesis 12:1-4 Obedience is the rule of divine guidance. Prompt obedience of God's leading is what makes you a great leader in destiny, prompt obedience to God's guidance is what takes you to greatness in destiny, prompt obedience to God's directives is what authenticates your distinction in the race of destiny. Gen.12:1-4.

4. You must be meek: Ps.25:9 Meekness simply means to have a teachable heart, it means to be lowly in heart. Meekness is to humble oneself to follow God's leading irrespective of one's position, possessions, attainment and accomplishment in life.

5. You must be a man or a woman that fears God: Psalms 25:12 God only leads those who fear and reverence Him. If you cannot fear God, you cannot follow Him and therefore, He cannot lead you. 

6. You must never lean on your own understanding Proverbs 3:5-6

Hear this - your wealth of experience is never a substitute for divine direction. Your knowledge in any field of life is never a substitute for divine guidance.

Your thinking, views or perspectives can never match divine guidance. Many think they know the way that is why they are not making waves in their business, career even in ministry.

As highly anointed Jesus was, He never toiled with the great issue of divine guidance. In John 5: 30, Jesus said “I can of mine own do nothing, as I hear I judge and my judgement is right”

7. You must do whatsoever he tells you to do John 2:5

Until you are ready and willing to do whatsoever God tells you to do, you are not also ready for NEW THINGS . Your distinction in life, business, marriage lies in you following God's direction. Your greatness in life hinges on you hearkening to God's guidance. It is those who do what God commands that become great commanders in the race of life.
