| TURNING YOUR OBSTACLES TO MIRACLES
“Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, and a twoedged sword in their hand” Psalms 149:6
There was a very pathetic story in the book of 2 Chronicles Chapter 20 when the people of Judah and Jerusalem were faced with a great obstacle; that was during the reign of King Jehoshaphat.
In all his power and authority as the reigning King, King Jehoshaphat was helpless and the whole congregation of the children of Israel was also restless, they were invaded by a great multitude physically stronger and well equipped with sophisticated arms than them.
It was the greatest invasion they had ever seen in that King Jehoshaphat in all his majesty and royalty lamented seriously by saying:
"O our God wilt thou not judge them? For we have no might against this great company that cometh against us; neither know we what to do: but our eyes are upon thee" 2 Chronicles20:12.
Also, in the book of the Acts of the Apostles Chapter 16, the great apostles, Apostle Paul and his amiable associate, Silas were incarcerated during one of their city wide evangelistic missions.
Prior to the time Paul and Silas were put inside the prison, the Bible reveals that they have been beaten mercilessly, cursed with all manner of insults and assaults and as they thrust them into the inner prison, their feet were chained. They were banned from preaching salvation to the people and were equally deprived of freedom.
To Paul and Silas, it was the greatest obstacle they had ever seen because they were hindered from carrying out their liberation assignment that might have disrupted the level of progress and increase they mighty have anticipated.
Beloved, comparing King Jehoshaphat's experience with that of Paul and Silas, it is vivid that they were all faced with different obstacles through which they were mocked, molested and ridiculed which repelled their total peace and progress.
Using King Jehoshaphat cum Paul and Silas' ordeal as a baseline, it could be said that all of life is full of obstacles. Everybody has something confronting him or her.
Obstacles therefore could be said to be forces that hinder people's peace, progress, promotion and their access to divine prosperity. Obstacles are life's challenges, barriers that obstruct people from reflecting the main plan and purpose of redemption.
As you are reading through this inspired teaching it could be that you are confronted with a certain difficult situation such that when it thought comes to your mind; it grieves you, it rolls away your peace, it withers your joy and removes your rest which forces your entire life and destiny to be far from what God made it to be.
I am informing you that no matter the name given to that obstacle, it can be converted to a desired miracle.
When King Jehoshaphat and the children of Israel were faced with a great obstacle, when it was dawned on them that their possessions in destiny would soon be gone (2 Chronicles 20:11), when the enemy's assault was heavy and hot on them, all they did was to offer the heaviest and hottest praises unto God and their obstacle turned to a miracle on the spot. The Bible says:
"And when they began to sing and to praise, the LORD set ambushments against the children of Ammon, Moab, and Mount Seir, which were come against Judah, and they were smitten" 2 Chronicles 20:22. What a secret! What a victory!
Also, Paul and Silas who were kept inside the Prison for no just reason regained their freedom and became men of honour where they had been disgraced as they offered heart bubbling praises unto God. Acts 16:22-36.
I conclude, praise is the spiritual force that converts obstacles to miracles. Praise is it! It is the fastest source of answer to all burgling questions of life. What praise does is to invoke the presence of God and when God appears, life's troubles disappear, marital Jordan parts, business burden is removed, family crises give way, financial hardship turns to financial favour. No matter the height of the mountain before you, at the instance of praise, it becomes leveled. Psalm 114:1 -8.
Friends, you may pray and fast and still miss your blessings because you can pray amiss but you can never praise amiss. Praise is the secret and final answer to that your seemingly difficult situation. When praise is offered at your best; God offers you His best, He positions your life and destiny to radiate His glory because as you praise Him, you literally bring down His glory which must first shine all over you.
Possibly you have come to your Witty end by saying "What else can I do? I have tried all I know yet, there is no results". Jehoshaphat said the same thing yet, his obstacle was converted to miracle his shame was changed to generational success just by the mystery of praise. 2 Chronicles 20:22.
Do you want to see God in action in that your crawling business? Do you want Him to show up in that your unyielding career? Do you really want to see Him proving Himself to you in that your delayed marriage? Wherever you want Him, just switch on to uncajoled, heart bubbling praises and you will know that He is alive!
When Lazarus' death was announced to Jesus, on the forth day as Jesus got to the graveside, all he did was to give God thanks and the man who had been laid in the grave for four days jerked back to life John 11:14-44. What a secret! What a weapon!
Beloved, looked at that obstacle in your life face to face or the one in the life of your beloved ones, is it sickness and disease? Is it childlessness? Is it joblessness? Is it failure, is it delay in marriage? Is it spiritual attack? Is it lack and want? Is it confusion or frustration caused by certain life issue? Lock yourself in your room and praise God in the way you have not praised Him before. Appreciate Him with a genuine heart for all He has done in your life, offer unto Him a sacrifice of dance with a high praise, glorify Him as the King of kings, exalt Him as the Lord of lords, bless His holy name, adore Him, testify to the great things He has done so far in your life, business, career, family, marriage academic etc.
Do you know something? As you are praising Him, you are literally magnifying and exalting Him far above every mountain in your life and with your eyes watching, you will see that mountain leveled completely thereby, your obstacle shall turn to a miracle. Psalm 114:1-7.
It is a new day for you. Give Him praise now! |
