BREAKING THE YOKE OF STAGNATION

"But the path of the just Is as the shinning light that shinneth more. and more unto the perfect day."- Proverbs 4:18.

Few years back, I was in a transit in a certain city and while I was there, on a certain day, I left to meet a friend who lived faraway from where I stayed and after our meeting and discussion, I took my leave. To speed off my journey back to where I was I had to a take a bus going to a certain direction, which will then link me to a place where I will get direct vehicle to my destination.

While I was inside the bus, the conductor as their normal way of alerting the passengers about their various bus-stop began to call names of the bus stops and whosoever wants to alight will inform the conductor of his or her possible bus-stop to alight from the bus.

As we journeyed, many people alighted at different bus-stops and other people equally boarded the bus to fill up the vacant seats. As we moved on, the conductor inquired again and said " ONE YEAR ONE BLOCK " informing the passengers about the next bus-stop. As he called the name of the bus-stop again " ONEYEAR ONE BLOCK " I became so curious to know why such name should be given to a bus-stop. As we got to that bus-stop, I beheld a mighty uncompleted building which has been lying there for years. To draw more fact from that " ONE YEAR ONE BLOCK " at another time, I took a walk around that abandoned project and I could see a mighty structure specially designed with state of the art architectural display. Moreover, what baffled me most is that that edifice, inspite of its age long in great ruin, the structure still have conformity with the present day architectural designs.

Beloved reader, without any doubt, that building is a vivid expression of the word "STAGNATION" and better still, this is exactly the state many people find themselves in all walks of life.

Stagnation means something that has become static, inactive, unproductive, unchanging, it means something that yields no result, something that has become dull and dormant through disuse. Stagnation is a state in which absolutely nothing is working, nothing is moving and nothing is growing as it ought to.

Evidently, without missing words, many people's lives are direct expression of "ONE YEAR ONE BLOCK" nothing works in them. They stretch but never catch, they strive but never succeed, they gather fortune but it turns to misfortune, they plant yet they don't reap, they labour yet they are not favoured. They are bunch of frustration, failures, sickness and sorrow which have bastardized their lives due to age long stagnation.

There are many pretty ladies with good certificate, many qualifications, decent and discipline yet no man is asking their hand in marriage. That is stagnation! Also, there are many handsome men in town who have everything a woman could desire in man, talk of job, they have good jobs, talk of car, they have choiced cars, live in beautiful houses yet no woman is ready to settle with them as wife that is also stagnation! There are many couples who have married for years but still waiting for the fruit of the womb, they have carried out different tests and their reports revealed that medically the husband is alright and the wife is okay yet their condition is not alright neither are they okay. That is stagnation!

Many people have great dreams and aspiration to succeed and become great in life thereby exchanging their suffering and hardship of many years coupled with the stress they passed through in school for good jobs and better living yet, some of them have been searching for jobs for many years they have done several interviews in many oil companies, in many banks even in private companies yet nothing is working. It is not that they don't have good result but there is an unseen force that is impending their advancement. Some even have multiple certificate even many are 1st class graduates but they can't get 1st class jobs. That is stagnation!

Haven't you had a deep thought that why is it that the business through which many people are prospering, experiencing tremendous lifting, flourishing and having bountiful sales others do the same and are incurring debt, losing customers, experiencing great loses and misfortune? That is equally stagnation!

Friend, I am glad to announce to you as a privileged servant of the most high that God's will for you is to move you forward in life. He wants you to advance and enjoy steady progress in all your endeavors. Stagnation is never part of God's program of salvation for mankind. You are not redeemed to reduce but you are saved to succeed and yet move forward in whatsoever you do in life. Every good gift and perfect gift is from God and He is always willing to lavish it on His children •that is why He revealed His mind to us in His Word when He say:

"For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil to give you expected end" Jeremiah 29:11

God's thoughts toward you in every sphere of life are thoughts of peace not of evil. Peace is the covenant product of progress and advancement in life while stagnation is a result of evil that befall man. Whatever that has tied you down hitherto; this is your time to move forward in life. Every force that has debared your progress and productivity in any area of your life I decree a total end to it in the name of Jesus Christ.

Beloved, no matter how hard and heavy stagnation may be on you in any area of your life, its yoke can be broken completely. In the Israel of old during the reign of king Asa, Stagnation was evident upon the whole land to the extent that nobody was spared but in the long run, they came out of that ugly situation triumphantly (2 Chronicles 15:1-19)

At this juncture therefore, I will be showing you steps they took which broke the yoke of stagnation in the whole nation and as you key into them, I see that yoke of stagnation in your life broken forever in Jesus Name.

THEY SOUGHT THE LORD

(2Chronicles 1 5:2-4] To come out of that pit of stagnation, you must seek the Lord with the whole of your heart by genuinely accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Saviour. There is a world of difference between going to church and gunning after God. You may be going to church to show off which cannot amount to anything but God seekers can never be stagnated in the race of life, (Psalms 34:10). When you seek God with whole of your heart, you will surely find Him that talks of genuine repentance and what is it that will stagnate you in life when you truly repent and surrender your life unto God?.

THEY OFFERED SACRIFICE.

(2Chrinicles 15:11) Sacrifice is a captivity turner, it has supernatural ability to shatter every yoke of stagnation in any man's life (psalms 1 26:1 -6) sacrifice is a sweet smell savour that moves God and when God is moved on your behalf, what in life will dear to stagnate you? The great man of God Pa E.A Adeboye testified to God's lifting over his ministry when God commanded him to offer unto Him violent offering and as he obeyed, strange happenings erupted in his ministry. You can also make a sacrifice unto God and that business or career of yours will be supernaturally moved forward.

THEY ENTERED INTO COVENANT

(2 Chronicles 15:12) God is a covenant keeping God, he respects and regards the words of His covenant which He established with our father Abraham and because Abraham walked in the covenant, he never experienced any stagnation in his time. (Psalms 74:20, .Genesis 17:1-7, Genesis 24:1) As a son or daughter of Abraham, you too con walk in the covenant and everything about your life will experience forward movement. May be you only need to make a covenant of purity with your God and that could be what will move you forward in fife. It could also be covenant of service, tithing and other kingdom obligations which will catapult you to enviable place in destiny.

THEY REMOVED IDOL WORSHIPERS

(2Chronicles 15:16)

There are people you need to move away from and until you do that, you will never rest from the plaque of stagnation all through your lifetime. Many people carry spell upon their lives and whenever you move with them, what affect them negatively will also affect you. You need to select carefully the type of friends you move with. There are people that you move with that make things move for you and there are also people that stop things happening for you those are the idol worshipers, the devilish and demonic set of people, the unbelievers, those who believe in other gods rather than the Almighty God. (2 Corinthians 6: 1 4- 17)
